Home Learning

Vision

To enhance student learning through structured and meaningful home learning activities, fostering responsibility and independent study skills.

The purpose of home learning is:

  • To encourage students to develop the skills, confidence and motivation for independent learning
  • To consolidate, reinforce, and extend the skills, knowledge and understanding developed in the classroom.
  • To involve parents and carers in their child’s learning to foster a strong partnership between home and school, ensuring that parents feel valued, informed, and equipped to support their child's education.

Home learning is set on Google Classroom.

Quality of Home Learning

At Campion School, we expect all home learning set to be purposeful and of high quality. Knowledge Organisers (KS3) and revision guides (KS4 & 5) will be used as part of much of our Home learning, so that we can provide students with topics that their parents/carers can help test them on – thus, building their knowledge base outside of lessons to free up more time in lessons for higher order thinking tasks.
