What a fantastic first day of our Reward Summer Fete for Years 7 and 10! ☀️🎉 Students enjoyed 2 hours packed with fun, including giant bouncy castles, games and activities, exciting house tug of war competitions, and some brilliant performances from our talented students, including street dance, flute, singing and guitar. We were also delighted to welcome the police and the air ambulance, and students loved meeting some amazing animals, including snakes! 🐍 We can’t wait to do it all again tomorrow with Years 8 and 9! Huge congratulations to our Year 10 students on completing their Silver Duke of Edinburgh practice expedition! 🌟🥾 What an incredible achievement! Over the course of the expedition, our students covered plenty of miles, navigated a few questionable map-reading moments, and collected enough blisters to keep the plasters industry in business! Through it all, their determination, resilience, and perseverance were truly inspiring—especially those who kept going despite some very sore feet. The culinary skills on display were also an unexpected highlight! From perfectly cooked steaks to beautifully prepared sea bass that wouldn't have looked out of place on a restaurant menu, it's safe to say our students were dining well and proving that expedition food doesn't have to mean beans from a tin! Most importantly, the teamwork throughout the expedition was outstanding. Students supported and encouraged one another, shared the load when things got tough, and worked together every step of the way. It was fantastic to see such positive attitudes and camaraderie throughout the challenge. A brilliant effort from everyone involved.
