Welcome to Campion School

At Campion School, we are committed to ensuring that every student achieves their full potential. Our academic success is built on a foundation of high expectations, dedicated teaching, and a culture of continuous improvement.

This commitment was recognised in our 2021 Ofsted report, which highlighted the school’s strengths in providing a supportive and ambitious learning environment. We are proud of the accomplishments of our students, whether in the classroom, on the sports field, in creative arts, or through our extensive extracurricular activities.

Welcome from the Principal

Due to the forecast of high temperatures this week, students are permitted to wear their Campion PE kit to school if they prefer. Please ensure that this consists of plain black shorts (these should be of an appropriate thigh length; hot pants are not permitted), trainers (Crocs are not permitted), and their Campion PE top. We appreciate that this may mean additional washing, particularly as many students only have one PE top. If this presents any difficulties, students are welcome to wear their usual school uniform without their blazer. Students who are invited to attend the School Rewards Fête are permitted to wear a T-shirt in their house colour in place of their Campion PE top. This applies to Year 7 and Year 10 students on Tuesday, and Year 8 and Year 9 students on Wednesday. Please ensure that your child applies suncream before attending, brings plenty of water to stay hydrated, and wears a hat to protect themselves from the sun. Please be assured that we have taken additional measures to ensure the school can remain open during the heat, including the purchase of extra fans. We are also developing longer-term plans to better prepare for future heatwaves. These include installing additional water fountains for the next academic year and investigating the cost of air conditioning for some communal spaces. Thank you for your continued support....

We would like to make parents and carers aware that government guidance on mobile phones in schools has now become statutory under Section 36 of the Children’s Wellbeing and Schools Act 2026. This means that, from 29th June 2026, mobile phones should not be in schools. As you will be aware, our vision is to become a smartphone-free school, and we held our first parent consultation on this last month. Thank you to those who shared their views. We ask for your support in helping us achieve this by not allowing your child to bring a smartphone into school. If a phone is essential for travel or safety, we strongly encourage the use of a basic “brick” phone without a camera or internet access. We will be reviewing and sharing our mobile phone policy ahead of the new academic year. Thank you for your continued support....
