Thank you for your support this week during the red weather warnings and for supporting your child’s learning from home today. While we had hoped to reopen as normal tomorrow, we have continued to monitor temperatures across the school site and within classrooms. Unfortunately, temperatures remain extremely high and are expected to continue tomorrow. After careful consideration, and in line with a number of other local schools, we have made the decision to remain closed on Friday 26th June. Students should continue their learning from home, with work provided via ClassCharts. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause, but the health, safety and wellbeing of our students and staff must come first. If this closure creates significant childcare difficulties, please contact safeguarding@campionschool.org.uk. We will do our best to support families by providing supervision in school where necessary. Please note that school bus services will not be operating while the school remains closed. ✅ School will reopen as normal on Monday 29th June, when temperatures are forecast to be much cooler. Students should wear their normal school uniform, but blazers will not be required. Thank you once again for your understanding and continued support. Kim Bradley-Smith...

With the red alert for hot weather in our area, more young people are spending time around water — from beaches and lakes to rivers and pools. While it can be a great way to keep cool, relax and have fun with friends, it’s important to remember that open water can be unpredictable and even dangerous. Cold water, strong currents, and hidden hazards can all put you at risk if you’re not careful. Taking a moment to think about your safety, knowing your limits, and looking out for others can make all the difference.
